The beauty of sport — a shared language that extends across cultures and experiences. As we’ve seen in collaborations like Louis Vuitton with Formula One or Lululemon with the NHL, the translation of sport into luxury reveals a deeper emotional and psychological connection. Sport becomes a metaphor for life — a playing field where effort and success, struggle and reward, are universally understood. This project reflects that bridge between effort and achievement — a quiet yet profound space where performance meets personal truth.
Using Houdini, I created a chain-link fence mapped onto the UV coordinates of the suitcases, turning the fence into a sculptural cut pattern. The chain-link fence represents the unseen and often solitary work that goes into honing a craft — the hours spent behind the fence, where strength, skill, and self are built.
