Inspired by a statement from Yard-O-Led’s new ownership—expressing their vision to see their pens displayed in jeweler’s shops—the project imagines a collaborative piece between Yard-O-Led and Chrome Hearts: two silversmithing houses with distinct identities and shared reverence for ornament. Leveraging the cap's clip to hold wearable rings, the design repositions the pen as both tool and treasure. Each ring is secured by the clip yet removable, allowing the pen’s embellishments to be worn separately—a seamless fusion of stationery and jewelry. Modeled in Blender and refined in Houdini, the pen’s engraving and texture were driven by illustrated height fields, enabling precise control over depth, detailing, and tarnish. Surface masks introduced a patina effect reminiscent of Chrome Hearts’ weathered silverwork, emphasizing craftsmanship through digital means.
