Part of an ongoing racewear design series, Lite Fast is a conceptual racing glove designed to complement the jacket and shoes in the collection. Modeled after the widely used Puma racing glove in Formula One, this design blends historical and contemporary references while incorporating advertisement and sponsorship aesthetics.
The glove overlays elements of a traditional fingerless leather racing glove with a bold, over-the-top style inspired by Lewis Hamilton and his moment with the FIA regarding the jewelry ban in Formula One. Across the fingers, heat transfer-style jewellery rings replace traditional grip patterns, referencing both motorsport and high-fashion styling. On the wrist—where watch branding is typically featured—three IWC watches are placed, nodding to both Hamilton and the deep-rooted tradition of timepiece endorsements in racing.
Rather than a standard rubberized grip, the gloves feature a soft suede palm, referencing vintage leather racing gloves. Additionally, the project provided an opportunity to experiment with a fur shader to enhance material realism.
The gloves were modeled in CLO 3D, simulated in Houdini, and rendered in 3ds Max with F-Storm. This project was an exercise in merging performance gear, branding, and cultural references into a single statement piece within the racewear collection.
